Trinity Takes Mock Trial Championship for Second Year

For the second consecutive year, Trinity was the champion at the Charlotte-area mock trial championship.
Trinity competed at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse on Dec. 8 against five other middle school mock trial teams from area schools.
During the competition, sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Foundation, students presented both sides of a case to a jury and judge, participated as witnesses testifying in the case, and improvised responses when objections were raised.
“I am so happy the students were recognized for their hard work and dedication,” said Jennifer Bader, who leads the mock trial and speech and debate teams in Middle School.
Jack Mills, Liza Wright, Charlotte Zolak, and Elle Bonner all received individual recognition for their outstanding performances.
Other members of the championship team include Tate Brinkley, Lucca Celebron-Brown, Emerson Lindvall. Lucy Lindvall, Garrett Smith, Jade Watkins, Hampton Bundy, Ethan Lavoie, and Luke Smith.
