Admission Procedure
1. Attend an Open House or Information Tour
View our 2011-12 Admission Open House Schedule or call 704. 358. 8101 to schedule a tour to learn more about the program, mission and philosophy of the School.
2. Schedule an Interview
Interviews are conducted by the Director of Admission. Email Linda Ibsen or Faye Morrow Bell or call to arrange an interview time.
3. ”Wildcat for a Day” Visit
Kindergarten applicants will be invited to a small group observation (1-1/2 hours) in January 2012.
First- through eighth-grade applicants will be invited to spend a day with us during the school year. Each student will be matched with a current TES student and they will travel through a typical school day together.
Upon receipt of your application, the Admission Office will contact you to schedule your student’s classroom visit.
4. Testing
Each applicant will take part in an assessment, either individually or in a group, depending on the grade level.
Grades 5-8: Take the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) at one of the area independent schools.
Grades K-4: Tested individually. For more information on this testing, see the CAIS brochure.
5. School Records/Teacher Recommendation
All previous educational records (including report cards and standardized testing) must be filed with Trinity. Download our Transcript Release form and send directly to your child’s current school.
Parents/Guardians of the applicant must arrange for a completed evaluation form from previous or current teachers to be sent to Trinity. Download the K-1 form or 2-8 form to complete.
6. Complete an Application
Download our Application for Admission and return to the Admission Office with the $90 non-refundable fee. If you plan to apply for tuition assistance, please call Linda Ibsen or Faye Morrow Bell prior to completing the application.
